the observation that America is living inside a reality show, driven by the 24-hour news cycle and that's not good for anybody

+1,000 (like many of us have said)

I'll go a step further and believe the incessant hype/media/social bombardment online and on TV is to blame for most mass shootings and violent protest/fighting amongst the citizenry.

There's lots of music being created today that's as good as what came out back then. But it's coming from the country music side. Thats where youll find the latest "classic rock".

Wine time is “let them figure out on their own” time, unless one of them is screaming bloody murder..... even then...

So stupid by the Democrats. I think it was good. There was so much talk about how the condition of the President was. Nothing wrong with him going out and showing he was not so bad.

@jon-nyc That is awesome! (The story ,not that he died LOL)

I remember that you mentioned this previously, and I thought it was pretty cool.

The closest I know about is a guy I know whose is about 50 y.o. now, and his father was born in 1900.

Yes, and the overwhelming outcome (as reported by the liberal-leaning media) will be that the discourse was so much more civil, and that Kamala not only won but looked quite presidential while doing it.

Either side, they won't kick them out, that is for sure. But it does frustrate me that the debates set up the rules, (not only mask wearing, but the concept of the debate, etc) and yet neither side is able to follow it.

That is why I think that something like a microphone silencer is a good idea.

"You agreed to the rules. So, you should not complain if we silence your microphone."

    Rad.

Not as cool a video, but I see you your Goodyear planes and raise you the Black Panthers. You know the opening scene in "Patton"? He wasn't talking to white troops. He gave that one to the 761st.

In any event none of thse black folks that have been killed by police seem to be fine upstanding citizens.

They have other qualities that excuse their behavior.

The fact that the president is tweeting again this morning, in ALL CAPS, is another good sign. In at least one habit, he seems very much “back to normal.” Those stretches of Twitter silence this weekend were a little ominous. We know this guy; we’ve been living under him as president for almost four years now. If he’s awake, he’s tweeting.

My dad said almost exactly the same thing.

I hope they're creating a longer video about the restoration. What a great project. I love this kind of thing. Hubby does, too. We would watch a mini-series on this, and there would be enough history and reno story to make a series out of it.

Do we know what the effectivity rate of the vaccine is likely to be?

If it's less than 100%, or 90% or whatever number you choose, then refusing the vaccine is going to adversely affect others. If enough refuse it, it could have a significant impact.

I would have thought the winner would be the “People want President Trump “ answer. He has the ability to unify the base voter behind him like no one else currently on either side.
