Biden's not a centrist because be has bedrock centrist convictions, he's a centrist because his convictions are flimsy.
The silent majority is very much the same. When they're hauled into an all-hands meeting and told to admit to being a racist in front of everyone or lose their job, they're going to do whatever they need to do to make the aggressors happy and stay employed. That's exactly how this shit has worked in the past. By the time the mob radicalizes further and comes for them anyway, it'll be too late to fix anything.
