Sore. Not bad, really, but I haven't seen how ugly it is yet. That's tomorrow.

There are some horrible companies out there. My SIL was let go whilst being treated for a serious illness, and then again when she asked for a reference as she was adopting a baby as they didn't want to give her the maternity leave.

I lost around 10 pounds during the lockdown 💪 Not eating out makes it much easier to stick to an eating concept.

    I'm on 13.

I’ve lost 15 but I’m not happy about it. I need to hit the weights again. I quit the gym and bought a little bit of home equipment but never really got in the habit of using it.

But the meme was funny all the same.

Yeah, but it plays into the theme. Most folks won't give a rat's ass whether it's a federal issue or not.

“The model blocks diversity of thought and content because the networks have incentive to amplify fringe voices and events, at the expense of others… all because it pumps up the ratings,” she writes.

Amplify the fringe at the expense of diversity. Hmm. I bet the fringe being amplified believes they are the diversity.

It brings up a serious point, one that Peterson likes to make, that you can just keep chopping it up until you get to the smallest minority - the individual.

To Andrew Sullivan’s point the individual is under siege. You are no longer defined by who you want to be you are put into a group and that becomes you. For example I am white privilege and ergo have no right to talk about a whole host of issues. I was born with original sin and should just be ashamed of myself and shut the fuck up when near a more oppressed person which on some level is just about everyone around me

Just be thankful you're not German with co-workers who know it.

Considering the overall age structure of the country, the implied overall IFR is:

    0.0020.17 (17% of Italians are 0-17) +
    0.020.17 +
    0.110.21 +
    0.40.16+
    1.70.12+
    8.30.17 =

    1.7% (!!)

First order of business: if the numbers as given are broken down into meaningful categories, re-munge them together into this far less meaningful number that the masses like to punt back and forth among themselves as they discuss the epidemiological subtleties of COVID.
