Thanks, folks! I placed an order for this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08882JVRL/ It can be taken apart for cleaning, the handle/group look ergonomic enough, and it claims to be "heavy duty." Will see how that works out. In terms of expected usage, I don't use "kitchen shears" much except to cut open food packaging. Maybe I have used kitchen shears to cut bacon strips once or twice. So as long as it can can be cleaned easily and can hold up to cutting vacuum packed plastic packaging, it should be fine for me. Thanks.

Cheney was WH Chief of staff in the 70s, was a member of the house armed services committee for over a decade before becoming Sec Def himself, and then 8 years as a very hands on VP. These guys have pretty deep ties in the military establishment. You have to be very, very careful around here with stating historical facts. You could be accused of coming across as sounding smart. Wow, and not to be too dramatic, but I feel like I've seen quite a few headlines here in TNCR about 2-3 days before they become the talk of the national media.
