He's a photographer who took some very interesting photos of North Korea. A lot of them were taken with Aerochrome, which I don't think was a gimmick in his case, I think it was really fitting.
(Not sure if you know but Aerochrome was a military project in WWII. Because the chloroplasts in plants reflect a lot more IR light than other objects and surfaces, it was thought that it might help in reconnaissance and aerial photographs. Basically it could take the usually invisible IR reflections and make them visible on the exposed film, presumably making it easier to separate foliage from other surfaces.)
Sahai was taking photos of a very secretive (and bizarre) military dictatorship, so I think the film stock works for what he was trying to do. Really interesting stuff.
