Embedding a tweet or a you tube or other image has become a dark art for me which I can no long do on a device.

    Gotta upgrade from XP, man.

Haha. I was off windows years ago. This is Apple.

Sure, I'm a buffoon, but at least I'm not a geriatric buffoon!

Easiest thing for Biden to do is to do well on the cognitive test. Speaking of buffoonery, Biden already said he could beat the hell out of Trump. So we could just make it a duathalon.

You chaps must be so proud. It's very much like an ancient jousting competition, where two rival groups pick their finest champions to represent them, and decide who is superior.

Except, of course, in these more sophisticated times, rather than donning armour, sitting astride the finest warhorses and charging at one another, these two great representatives of the Land of the Free have to see if they can remember five words for twenty minutes.

    It's truly awe inspiring.

Can’t we just get back to our President as Russian Agent getting golden showers? I too miss the days of rationality.

The Sheiks enjoyed ever-increasing season rankings, right up until 27-28, when they were first in the finals. Then, nothing. The team was disbanded.

I wonder what the social dynamics of the signatories were. If the signatures were public and the set of people asked to sign was also public, there must have been enormous pressure to sign.

I want the one holding the toddler's arms to get the same. That person is just as guilty.

The child may be okay physically, but this kind of thing leaves emotional damage that doesn't go away. The list of problems that treatment like this causes for the child throughout their life is long.

By the way... I say thee whatever to Trebek's gaffe. He wasn't making fun of either of them, he just hadn't met too many male nurses or female carpenters I guess.

I say the same about people who grew up insulated, see black folks on the metro for the first time, and get uncomfortable. They aren't racist, that's just what you do when people act in ways you don't expect due to your lack of experience—the exact same thing happens when people unaccustomed to dealing with Tourette sufferers are forced to deal with them at Starbucks or whatever. They get quiet and cautious, and try not to draw attention to themselves. It's not hate or judgment, just caution and unease borne out of ignorance, and a biological response that's literally older than the hills. And it goes away once they've more experience with people different from themselves, so, BFD.

My success rate for convincing people this isn't a horrible analysis is about 13% but I stand by it.

Yep. People go by the judgments formed by their experiences. Period. It has been ever thus. It seldom has anything to do with the other person outside of familiarity.

George - Have you ordered any of them or plan to place an order?

We use the disposable surgical masks (which I hate because the ear loops irritate my ears - I never wore that kind at work).

I'm still looking for the "duckbill" style masks with ties that go over the crown of your head and around the neck. For me, that was always the most comfortable type. The elastic pissed me off.

A friend just sent me text telling me that a co-worker's wife tested positive Monday. She works at our local pet shop, where we were about to go, to get some dog food. Other employees there have also tested positive.

I ordered the dog food, online.

My friend works at a machine shop where nobody wears a mask or practices any social distancing at all.

Mark, if it's that close, it's going to be pretty much everywhere in your area. That's the community spread in action. Take care and keep ordering stuff for delivery or curbside pickup.
