I'm taking LD's advice these days. Keeping it cool, but the very next goddamn thing that happens, I send out my letter.

The grocery stores with delivery and curbside pickup are doing well. Other grocery stores may struggle. I wonder how the smaller grocers are faring. They may be fine just because more people eat at home and cook at home now.

We have flexi-time where I work, but you're supposed to be in by 9am. Typically people start between 7.30 and 8.00.

I was once told off by my former boss for getting in late (at 8.15). Tosser.

Note also that the distances between the houses don't matter at all.

The ā€˜officialā€™ solution came out today. When discussing a generalized version of the problem, it pointed out that for odd numbers of houses the distance between them matters, but only a little.

In the case an odd number of houses you start and end at the center house and the one closest to it. Otherwise the solution is identical and scales to any number of houses.

It is a sobering and sad day. It is one of those days where we generation remember exactly where we were when we heard about it.

As Mik said, it is important not to forget, but CatsEye is right, time goes on.

There are no "children" today who were alive when 9/11 happened as it was 19 years ago.

It is like any "defining" event in US (or world history). How many people remember the end of the World War 1? Less and less people remember the atomic bomb to end the World War 2. etc.

Interesting (and sad) article. It is hard to imagine a 17 year girl having to grow up like that. šŸ˜¢

That is someone who life choices were out of her control.
