I quite believe that we are in some sort of asset valuation bubble, and I also expect that bubble to pop in some spectacularly ugly way. If we look at the last .com bubble, we also cannot deny that the .com sector has since brought tremendous values to society. The information superhighway really has become an impactful, productivity enhancing part of our present day economy. Not sure if any particular cryptocurrencies will survive, but the block chain technology behind them should be good for something well after the cryptocurrency bubble pops.
