There are at least three pretty funny quotes in that interview.

@george-k said in Exchanging Gifts: Johnson gave Biden a free-to-use Wikipedia photo of a British mural depicting Black 19th century abolitionist Frederick Douglass in return. Sick burn.

That is a popular misconception. The truth is that sewer grates were invented by the nefarious Antiducks to entrap unwary ducklings.

@catseye3 said in Toobin...: @mik said in Toobin...: Its just too good. Even his name is ridiculous. It might even make it into everyday usage. Corporate employee: "Did you hear what happened to Hank? He got toobined." Or "He got caught Toobin"

I was going to make a “crazy cat man” joke, but then I realized that there are many weekends when I have 4 or even 5 dogs visiting, many of whom sleep in my frigging bed. That’s much crazier...

@doctor-phibes said in Cast the first stone?: @jolly said in Cast the first stone?: @doctor-phibes said in Cast the first stone?: Isn't that David's line? Nah, Davis used a different type. Now, trivia of the day...Why does Matthew give the lineage of Jesus? To demonstrate fulfillment of prophecy? If you look at Matthew, it gives the legal lineage of Jesus, as opposed to Luke, which focuses on the biological. Matthew establishes Jesus as King.

Normally I would laugh at these bogus polls but Maddox made National news by alerting the world to a totally bogus WV poll so these are worth publishing.

@brenda said in Hay Brenda: @mik said in Hay Brenda: I hope your daughter is mending well. I also think it's great that you take your amphibi-friends with you! She is doing well. This time is a bit more difficult for the recovery process. Drain tubes, etc. We'll stay a good while. I cannot believe I travel with the frogs, and they handle it so well. There are still twelve of them, and they get along great. Frogs are described as solitary lifestyle critters, and these are all living together, seeming to enjoy their companionship. When I see four or five all snuggled together for a nap, I want to send a picture to the experts who say frogs don't want to socialize with other frogs. Expert schmexpert. Experience is the best teacher. The mental picture of the frogs trilling in the condo is priceless.

I love the fact that the G7 conference is essentially taking place on the set of Doc Martin. (It's a different Cornish town, but it looks pretty similar)

To thaw out red cells, we use a glycerin wash, followed by a couple of saline washes. Rare types (yes, we have a local family of Bombay Rh null) can be stored for years.
