Nobody is pretending that she is even remotely qualified for the top job.

In your mind, what are the qualifications to be president?

In your mind, what qualifies Biden to be president.

That is a tough question. I could go back to what @copper said as that is the only actual listed ones (except cute smile. 555)

There has been suck a wide variety of people who have become president (governor of state, senator, Vice President, businessman, farmer) so it is difficult to say.

    I guess I really don’t have a good answer. 🤷🏼‍♀️

No, Ms. Harris is the one with the suck qualifications.

May be wrong, but I thought Willie said she could take the chrome off of a trailer hitch.

Cruz worked on Bush v. Gore. He is also very well-versed in the Constitution and election law. If you get a chance to listen to him speak about the matter, listen.

He is convinced there is irregularities. It may be negligence. It may be fraud. It might be just an honest mistake.

But three thresholds have to be met:

Fraud must have occurred. The cites must be specific, with evidence. That fraud must be sufficient to impact the outcome of the election. A remedy must be available.

Therefore, you can have am amazingly crooked election, that cannot be overturned.

I think your guys BDS is showing! LOL

On a more serious note, I know that @horace (and others) always talks about TDS. What is that exactly definition of TDS?

It's the mindless hatred. In my opinion, it comes from classism, the feeling that you're too good for this clown to be your president. It would look a lot like racism, if Trump was black.

I'm seeing quite a bit of rage bordering on hatred here from people who aren't lefties.

It doesn't seem to bother you nearly as much.

Do you know the difference between rage and outrage? Do you understand the difference between hating a man and hating corruption?

I caught that yesterday. He did speak at the DNC national convention and I’ve seen him speak several times as a Trump detractor so it is not so surprising

Trump’s just the 2nd president in the last 39 years not to win re-election and the 4th in like 90 years.

I remember the state of the union address in January. Trump had his re-election locked down. I was very impressed. But he fumbled the pandemic big time, and it cost him plenty of votes. Turns out, he only needed a few of them to have won again. Oh well...

I suspect if the Democrats had fielded a decent candidate, he'd have been trounced.

    Name one.

That is the problem (in both sides). The best candidates are too smart to want to go through the process. Lol

@Larry said in Taken from the Communist Party USA platform of 1963:

The only takeaway from this so far is that yet again the democrats refuse to even look at the truth about their political ideology.

It's all about power. Some Democrats may not agree with them.

" But the most important principle that I defended 20 years ago, that Joe Biden and many others are defending tonight is, let's count every legally cast vote and obey the will of the American people. " - Al Gore November 2020.

Gore knows that if there is widespread belief the election was fraudulent, Biden's presidency is viewed as illegitimate. I suppose Gore is also fervently hoping no substantial fraud is found.

I get it, your guy (won/lost). You are (ecstatic/pissed), and with good reason. However, all of the (gloating/insults) are making you look a little small as a person and is doing your side no good.

So why don't we chill? The state legislators/courts/electors will all have their say. It will be interesting and informative to watch and relay the various news articles, tweets, videos, etc... as it all plays out, but let's try to remember that there are real people on the opposite side that DO deserve respect (whether you think so or not).

When I told Mrs. George about this article, she reminded me...

"Remember when you were a resident on OB, and because of a lack of staff, you were on call every other night?"

    Oh...yeah.

That was a lifetime ago, of course, and the residency was quite different (not as busy - I could usually get 2-3 hours of uninterrupted sleep).

Is more frequent call a good thing, ultimately?

    I don't know.

This report seems to suggest that entering a residency while not having a rich late-night experience is detrimental, at least in terms of "feeling prepared."

My experience was remarkable. The day after I grabbed my diploma, I was 100% ready, with no anxiety. I was confident in what I knew, and I was confident that I would have support from my senior colleagues (my resident) that he would help me if I needed it.

It was not a surgical residency, but a medical one, but I think the basic point stands - my schooling made me ready.

@taiwan_girl said in Tonight's dinner. It's November, right? So TURKEY!!!:

    How was it?

It was okay. Not great, but certainly okay. I think the broiling I did might have made it dry out a bit more than I'd like. I also cooked it for 2 hours (to 160 degrees). Perhaps that had something to do with it as well. However, in a tightly-sealed Dutch oven, probably not.

At any rate, we got a total of 4 meals out of my efforts tonight!
