@loki said in Vaccine Rollout: The people imvolved speak for themselves and one quickly realizes these people are about as uneducated to reality as it gets but somehow have tapped into the reptilian brain of a subset of people…almost schizophrenia…where people see and hear things that are clinically insane. Plenty of those uneducated types where I live: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/alberta-vaccination-rates-education-correlation-1.6063373

I'm not sure, but I think this was after Argerich and Dutoit had divorced. The ability to collaborate on this afterward is beyond my understanding.

@axtremus said in China snaps best Mars selfie: It's the "China National Space Administration" (CNSA) logo, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China_National_Space_Administration . Doesn't mean they did not rip it off from some one else, of course. Steal intellectual property? Get outa here! China would never do something like that, amirite?

For me, I unfortunately dont have enough good taste to notice a big difference between a USD$25 dinner and a USD$250 dinner, (or maybe even a USD$1.5 chicken and rice dish from a street stall). Part of it I am sure is the atmosphere, service, freshness of the food, memories, skill of the cookers, and location, etc. I would expect it to be "top notch". Plus, I would assume that most of the kitchen staff are the top league of cooking, so probably make more money than average kitchen staff. (Kind of like a top level sports team vs. a minor level sports team) (I remember reading an article about a waiter at (I think) a San Franciso top restaurant. He was pouring wine for a customer and the customer was sitting by a wall. So, he poured the wine over the incorrect shoulder. He was immediately fired. Not sure what he could have done to do it correctly, but the restaurant manager fired him. LOL)

@doctor-phibes said in Disregard the tinfoil.: @jolly said in Disregard the tinfoil.: Now, all theories aside, are companies like Blackrock sucking up single family dwellings? If so, why? Well I sure hope they don't get bailed out if and when the housing bubble bursts. Let them die screaming. Too big to fail...

Let's hope so! BTW, if she's managing that many folks in the hospital, the majority of employees in the hospital know her...That's a sharp daughter you have there...Must take after her mother.

Ultimately Hollywood is in the money making business. If black sells, they'll sell it. At the moment it is in demand. Or at least it is being marketed.

@mark said in The Gestapo stages another raid.: Who's constitutional rights are being trampled exactly? How are they being trampled? @jolly said in The Gestapo stages another raid.: Remember the FISA court abuse during the Russia! Russia! Russia! hoax? Did most of you see the comments by the former head of the ACLU, about the current lack of concern for Free Speech? Do no-knock SWAT raids for misdemeanors not bother you? Did anybody see the mounting news reports about many of the January 6th rioters being held for over six months in solitary confinement, without proper access to attorneys and no bail hearings, while the government tries to break them financially and psychologically? The January 6th damages amounted to about half of what Joe Biden's self-admitted modest home cost. OTOH, the Antifa riots in Seattle and Portland have cost tens of millions of dollars. The nation-wide riots probably amount to billions of dollars in damage and lost revenue. It has become increasingly evident that none arrested during those riots, even those charged with rape and murder, are being treated the same as many (if not most) arrested for January 6th offenses. If these government abuses do not bother you, you are not worthy of American citizenship. Period. All of it bothers me. It has bothered me most of my adult life. So what? What exactly am I supposed to do about it. Doesn't matter who we elect. They all let this shit happen. All of them. Some are worse than others. Aqua is right in one respect...It's a slow decomposition until the country becomes a failed state and anarchy will briefly reign. I just don't want to get there any faster than I have to...
