    @klaus said in Air Fryer?:

What do you use it for?

One of my go-to dishes is chicken with leeks and cream. I can take a frozen chicken breast, or two, and have it cooked, ready to shred into bite-sized pieces in 20 minutes cooking time.

    Chili.

Great pork chops - well done, but juicy.

Steamed veggies, corn on the cob.

    Pot roast.

    Beef stroganoff.

I've actually made lasagna in it, tho Mrs. George didn't care for the non-traditional look.

This reminds me of the Goldie Blox toys. No tie in to electronics per se, but certainly lots of belts and pullies and such designed to appeal to younger girls.

If they're willing to spend $450 or so, then I'd get a PRS. From my understanding the quality is really good for the money.

I think it's very progressive of you to include third world charts in your list.

Dude, they're freaking Australian. That's where we sent the people we didn't even want to go to America.

    I don't see a window.

    I assume this is unmanned.

I don't see a pilot mentioned in the story.

EDIT: Now I searched for manned and the story says maybe that it is unmanned.

Wow. Mom is so afraid, but wants her baby enough to overcome her fear. Very sweet.

Imagine Godzilla trying to hand you your baby....

    Good analogy. ๐Ÿ‘

I believe lottery numbers are often not truly random and some numbers have slightly higher probabilities than others. One should optimize for combinations that are rarely picked and more likely than average. Of course, even then the expected return is usually smaller than the investment.

    big tech and corporate liberalism

In the beginning IBM was big tech - all by themselves. And they were, without question, conservative.

Then we (EDS) were big tech services, and for a while we ruled that world. And we were definitely very conservative.

Then the hippie stereotype caught on.

    Too bad.

There's a certain kinda cat who simultaneously takes a little too much pride in being a "businessman," "business owner," "I run a business here" etc., and has a little too much disdain for formal education. What this signals to me is that formal education is a game they think they can't play for some reason.

In my job, nothing, and I mean nothing, rings alarm bells as much as somebody who signs off his emails, and even occasionally voicemails, with the phrase 'President and Founder'. It's happened a few times, and hell inevitably ensues.

Ironically, the second most scary trigger are the letters 'PhD' after a name.

A homemade Hobart there, folks. Until they can get a taller bowl, I think Klaus is correct about it being quite a mess maker.

@aqua-letifer Stories are the teaching tool of the ages. I used stories to teach Economics. Ja really. Attendance was not a problem for my classes, because they wanted to hear the next story. ๐Ÿ˜† Even the college president heard about it in the hallways from students.

It helps people remember and learn. When I happen to see a student from years ago, they often comment about how surprised they are at how they still remember from those silly stories.

Oh yes, they could be very silly, such as Rosie Rancher and Farmer Fred teaching them international trade and comparative advantage. Stick figure drawings featured Rosie on her tractor with a diamond necklace and tiara, and her lovely long brown hair (at which point I would lift the hair behind my ear and elicit laughter from the class). Farmer Fred had only a seed cap and pitchfork. It was all quite ridiculous, yet effective. People laughed and learned.
