Using the max input power this guy calculated for his build, a new iPhone 11 battery (fully charged) can run that handheld laser thingie for over 50 minutes.

An electrical shorting of a fully charged iPhone 11 can potentially discharge that much energy in a fraction of a second — catastrophic if something like this were to happen in someone’s pocket.

I read the EPA report and importantly their recommendations. I was confused like did I get linked to a different case.

Ax- tell me why the recommendation does not tell me how severe the transgression was. I mean it’s a different planet from your thread title.

    https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/26/politics/georgia-voting-law-black-voters/index.html

Note also that Sen. Scott (or his office) is the one who posted that video on his YouTube channel and turned off comments. It stands to reason to suspect they he posts only parts of the video that show him in the best light. It looks like there is silence because ... well, who knows what he cut out from the video before posting it on YouTube? Turning off comment also prevented any rebuttal right under the video. At best, you can only treat that video as a form of campaign advertising.

Yes, they remove the Secretary of State as the chief of elections. It’s SUPPOSED TO BE A LEGISLATIVE RESPONSIBILITY, not an Executive.

Yes, they can now remove an Election Official... IF THEY BREAK ELECTION LAW 3 TIMES IN 2 ELECTIONS!!! WTF?! Why aren’t they fired and going to jail and why the hell are Democrats so upset over this? This is freaking ridiculous...

The rest of their assertions are just as bad.

Another recent example of Trump not holding up his end of the deal:

    https://www.politico.com/news/2021/05/27/trump-payroll-tax-deferral-491017

“Many of former President Donald Trump's political appointees got a nasty surprise when they left the government: A big tax bill.

They've been ordered to immediately repay months of payroll taxes that had been deferred under a bid by Trump to boost the economy ahead of last year’s elections — levies he had assured them would later be forgiven.”

Fool me once, shame on you ... If you got fooled over 30,573 times and still want to “contract” with him, you’ve got to be some special kind of special.

Thanks for posting this. I met Kotkin once at an academic conference. Loved his short book on the fall of the Soviet Union.

Isn’t it just redeploying dollars from one group to another?

Sounds like a better use of the incentive pool but there are losers correct?

I think those are a generational phenoma, not to be repeated for awhile.

If history repeats itself that woman has a life long history of significant mental health issues and these people always love fringe ideas, from the left and right. It makes them feel alive.

I think you are right. It won’t be a race to the bottom and the competition is for good content. There will be big winners and big losers.
