Damn selective memory you have. The numbers showed they "worked" at about 94%. Not totally preventing the disease, but mostly preventing it or at least making it a milder case. That was pretty good and accomplished the desired purpose, in record time with unprecedented flexibility from the FDA. And then, as you well know, the virus mutated. You had Beta, Gamma and Delta. The latter showed us that vaccinated people could get really sick with COVID. Could get really sick and die. In fact, during our last spike, *20% of our hospi COVID patients were breakthrough cases. * So now folks are getting third shots. Israel is now talking a fourth shot.

My sister in law probably qualifies. Very dark, curly hair, comes from near Dublin. Her son, my nephew is borderline redhead, so it’s kind of an interesting mix. We’ve got Irish from our side too which might have added a bit. I’ve never heard actual Irish people use the term either.
