I don't think I've ever had a Gibson of either sort. Gin with onions. Hmm.

At Mount Vernon, it was called "The Necessary." I wonder what conversations went on there. [image: 1633694360422-img_4204-copy.jpg]

https://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/a36903122/right-to-repair-fair-repair-act-2021/ The article claims that half the states have considered “Right to Repair” legislation. The article itself is not all the good, but it links to many other articles that I find interesting, particularly: one that talks about the military procuring equipment that are hampered by repair restrictions hospital equipment, a situation made more dire by COVID-19 John Deere’s broken promise, one designed to stall “Right to Repair” legislation for three years three years ago and now remain unfulfilled On the consumer electronics side, you’ve got Apple, Inc. as the poster child for “Right to Repair” problem (but it’s actually common across the entire consumer electronics industry). On the farming equation side, it seems it’s always John Deere that’s the problem poster child.

Its hard for me to get too angry at a random type 1 error committed by an automated process that reacts to probably tens of millions of images per day, every day.

No, that takes careful interviewing, empathy and perception. You wouldn’t understand.

"If you say something I don't like, that's defamation. If you accuse me of defamation, that's RICO." Maybe it's time to retire, Alan. You've got a television to yell at.

@doctor-phibes said in Robert and Alison: @horace said in Robert and Alison: @doctor-phibes said in Robert and Alison: @horace said in Robert and Alison: You see actors doing that a lot. Taking a part in some trash movie so they can say they “worked with” some big name attached to the project. It’s entirely a vanity thing. Who else is going to work in movies other than actors? It's not as if they're going to hire trained flamingoes. what You were complaining about actors being in trashy movies. I was wondering who else you expected to be in them. I was commenting on actors who take parts just to say they have “worked with” some famous and often over the hill actor or director. The most recent time I thought about this was Val Kilmer’s biopic where he bragged about having worked with Brando. In a horrible movie, when Brando was in peak has-been mode, where Brando actually hated Val. But for Val it’s the story of when he worked with Brando.

Why the fuck is he worrying about the US national debt and Richard Nixon? Another sad attempt to pretend he's an American.

@lufins-dad That's why it's important to keep the bugs in your yard as a line of defense. Once the frogs have filled their bellies with bugs, they will go find a place to sleep, and you are safe. Also note that fat frogs can't hop as high or as fast. Keep them well fed. This is what my froggos have to say on the topic, and they should know.

@copper said in "To defeat this virus, we have to defeat Donald Trump.": @horace said in "To defeat this virus, we have to defeat Donald Trump.": Progressive white women would be pretty angry that a four year investment into a compromise of an old white man didn’t afford them the opportunity to run a person of color, preferably of uncertain sexual orientation and identity, with 100% reliable leftist views on everything. If there’s one thing progressive white women will not compromise on, it’s the certainty that their elected politicians will cater to their mindless emotional whims. Dr. Rachel L.
