@mik said in Not so fast...: Disagree. Continuing to press vaccination now that the requirement has been stopped opens them up to liability if it gets squashed permanently. I think they will quietly stall for the moment. Saw a number of protests outside buildings this week. I am not sure about that. Private companies have a lot of ability to require things for their employees. And I think the US supreme court has already ruled in favor of schools and companies that have required vaccines and said that they are legal to do that.

Jennifer Lynn Siebel was born in San Francisco, to Kenneth F. Siebel Jr., an investment manager (the second cousin to software entrepreneur Thomas Siebel), I was wondering if she was related to Thomas Siebel.

THa's awesome. I last took my boy to Berlin in 2018, but we didn't know about this. Time for a revisit.

I’ve distanced myself from them and they know it, too. Well, ok, it’s an exclusion order.

@jon-nyc said in Rittenhouse trial: I listened to Ken White (Popehat) talk about this case, he says they never would have even brought charges had this not been so politicized. Is this remotely shocking to anybody in the country, at this point? I suppose some lefties who simultaneously think the charges are just, and who have zero self awareness about why they feel that, might be shocked and outraged at the notion that the politics of their own outrage have anything to do with it.

Presidio Pork: Park in Pelosi's district slated to receive $200M probed by top GOP senator Presidio national park in San Francisco is required by its trust to be financially self-sustainable Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee ranking member John Barrasso, R-Wyo., probed the national park trust in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s, D-Calif., district on its federally required financial self-sufficiency. Barrasso sent the letter to Presidio Trust chair Lynne Benioff regarding the trust’s federal financial obligations. The Presidio Trust in San Francisco oversees the national park and, per the legislation that established the trust, it must be financially self-sustainable. "The Presidio Trust Act states that the Presidio of San Francisco must be financially self-sufficient and should not receive funding from the American taxpayer," Barrasso wrote. "The Presidio Trust’s website further confirms this by stating that the park is managed ‘at no cost to the taxpayers.’"

@lufins-dad said in 50%: Of course, then you also have to factor in the drastic increase of single parent families…. Biden will fix that. His bill has married couples getting much less government goodies than a single mom making the same income...So, why marry? The destruction of society continues.️

It's not winning that's important, it's taking part that counts. That's what I told xer. Maybe we shouldn't take too much notice of what Senator Hawley says. He seems to have a real problem understanding the difference between winning and losing.
