It was nothing but buying votes promising payoffs. I surely would like to see these issues addressed separately rather than huge, unreadable bills.

We are making Gingerbread Men tonight for some of our neighbors. Straight-up or weird ones? Anatomically correct. No I mean, are they impaling each other with jam-blood spilling out or are they just standing there smiling? Lucas and Finley are decorating them right now, so who knows?

@jolly said in Interesting Twitter Account.: @aqua-letifer said in Interesting Twitter Account.: @lufins-dad said in Interesting Twitter Account.: The real issue isn't even Pfizer to my mind. It's the lack of oversight from the FDA. Dude are you serious? This is the very same organization that, for decades, conservatives have—rightly—mocked for being so monolithic that they "wouldn't approve aspirin in this day and age." I've heard that here, many, many times. And it's correct. But now, in the midst of a global pandemic, in which the one thing everyone on the planet wants most and right now is a workable vaccine, the problem is that the FDA played it too fast and loose? I'm not saying they didn't, I'm saying how could they not? If not in this way, then it would have been something else. With thousands of balls in the air and unprecedented pressure to just get on with it, you're gonna drop some balls. Ever work with the FDA? No, but they're enormous and bureaucratic AF.

@lufins-dad said in Beef Wellington…: Yeah, I’m pushing myself this year. Rather than our traditional tenderloin, I decided to try and kick it up a notch. Running into two primary questions, though… Wegmans is out of Foie Gras, will a general duck liver mousse work as well for this? Dough work is not my forte… Would a store bought puff pastry work okay? @Mik @brenda Don't know. Not my kind of thing. Yes, the store puff pastry should work fine. I would bet most fancy restaurants use premade puff, too.

I always imagined you as stocking sacks of dried goods like rice and beans... I have several pounds of pintos, limas, split peas, kidney beans and black eyed peas. The cans were were to go with some I already had, along with chopped bacon, hb meat, pineapple and such in some cowboy beans.

@mark said in How to drive in roundabout: I like to listen to Roundabout when driving through a roundabout. Link to video Found out a while ago that this song is very popular in the Anime community. It is used as the ending theme for the first season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animation I was listening to Fragile one day when my daughter and her friends all started telling me how much they liked Roundabout and that it was theme music for one of the shows they liked. To piss me off in the car as a kid, my dad would crank that shit and sing along loudly and annoyingly whenever it played on the radio.

Interesting article. It seems, for many reasons, that the J&J would be the best vaccine for many less developed parts of the world. (one dose, logistics of transport and storing, etc)

Well, it looks like Santa is bringing us a new Lennox system. Installation is on the 29th. The current system is running too inefficiently now. It's been switching over to auxiliary heat at night...I really would have preferred to wait another year but... We went ahead and purchased through Costco as I just don't have the time to dedicate to finding the best possible deal...

Wegmans originally had Instacart put together their orders for pickup but later switched to their own employees. There was a noticeable improvement. The produce selections were far better as were the product replacements if they were out.
