"Reins of Terror" Great thread title. I'm sure DHS bridled at the request.

@mik said in New Ford patent holds items in place in truck bed: Good question. Induction ranges do. I looked that up, because I'd not read that before. One study showed that it can be a problem if the pacemaker is unipolar (where the cathode is at the tip of the wire, and the anode is the pacemaker box itself). The long distance between wire and box can, if you will, act like an antenna, picking up extraneous signals. In the last 25 years that I was working, I don't think I ever saw a unipolar pacemaker implanted, though I'm sure there are still a lot of them out there. Currently almost all implanted pacemakers are bipolar, with anode and cathode being close to each other at the tip of the wire.

Blacks need their own history month. Gotta keep the darkies happy and focused on other things, besides the continued demolition of the black family or the fact that Baltimore is averaging more than a murder a day this year.

Monday was the last day of duck season down here. Tell them to come on down to where the water ain't solid. It's safe now.

@jolly said in 50-49: @jon-nyc said in 50-49: Seems like a nothingdog. It may well be. But it does mean that nothing controversial can pass for a few weeks, further complicating a few things. Nothing controversial has been able to pass for a while… Build Back Better, the Election Reform Bills, the Filibuster change…

So we have found a line that even a brown lover won't cross. OK, that helps establish the limit.

I have a theory… Back when I was a college student, I noticed that the most screwed up people I knew of were all going to school for psychiatry and psychology. It wasn’t that there weren’t also well adjusted and normal individuals, but the number of people with issues was daunting… My theory is that at some point over the last 30 years or so, the lunatics have quietly taken over the asylum both figuratively and literally. They are now the ones that are defining what is normal and abnormal…

Knowing just a little about steam engines, the maintenance on them is horrific. But a great idea, to be sure.

It would be interesting if Brady joined Manning’s group trying to buy the Broncos…

I have to agree with Klaus, Putin is all about power. Sanctioning him personally will get the West no where. Right now, we should be listening to what the Ukrainian leaders are telling us.

Without early diagnosis can we ever really develop an effective early treatment?
