That's good. Now, how do you use engineers to calculate life expectancy?

Maybe they’re employing professional statisticians to come up with those numbers. It is Donald Trump, after all aka Mr. Hard Data

    That’s pretty interesting.

We are still in science’s infancy.

    What a clueless twat.

Even though I'm reading, rather than hearing this, somehow, D'Oh Phibes saying this is just so much better than anyone else on this forum.

I think we're seeing a few of these "echo chambers" forming.

My worry is that they're superseding national identity in terms of how meaningful they are to people + gaining enough engaged adherents to truly be a nation.

As I've harped on before - the internet is potentially a printing-press level disruption to politics.

I think we're all in agreement about what the internet has meant in terms of not just political but social upheaval as well...

As far as the whole right-wing social media thing, here's the primary issue... Right-wingers suck at entertainment. I mean, the Tim Allen show was pretty decent but I don't want EVERY FRIGGING VIDEO/MEME/COMMENTARY to have a fvcking political or social bent. Sometimes I just want to watch a squirrel be catapaulted hundreds of yards on a home-made squirrel flinger. I don't need somebody commenting about how it can also be used on illegal immigrants at the same time...

Yes, mainstream media puts all kind of social and political stuff in their movies and shows, but at least they don't star Kirk Cameron and Kevin Sorbo...

You mean like the Dixie Chicks and George Clooney and Robert DeNiro and all the others?

I eat a lot of vegetarian meals (I won't go so far as to call them vegan). If needed, I could go vegan. I might grumble about missing this item or that item, but I would generally get by okay. The one thing that I would never do, however, is eat a plant-based item pretending to be meat... I don't mind a grilled vegetable patty in place of a burger. Portabella burger? Delicious! Miracle Meat? Don't shit on my shoes and tell me it's Shinola... I don't care how it tastes...Tofurkey? Get out of my face...

Me too. Portabella burgers rock. My favorite pizza is Margarita. Generally, just let it be what it is - don't try to combine it with all sorts of other crap. For instance, I like tofu. If cooked correctly and of good quality it can be delicious.

I guess it also resonates with what many conservatives in the US are feeling.

    Yes

I think that is exactly the message needed to get elected here.

    Vaccine mandates.

Forcing dock workers et al to work 24-7.

And the funniest one of all, Biden's crackdown on global corruption. Really. You can't make this up.
