And the authorities could not figure out why they could only find $1000 from all the money he took.

@Mik said in In Oz: Probably like California. Lots of outdoor school facilities. Southern California + Georgian architecture + 1985 = Australia.

Blame goes both ways. Many young people today want the experience to come to them, rather than being a part of the experience. They wish to hear 7/11 songs, comfortably ensconced in a darkened theater-like atmosphere and enjoy the light show. While you're absolutely right churches and leaders must change with the times, they should only change so much. Now, sit down, because I don't want you falling and hurting yourself...I was at mass last week. It was grandparent's day at my granddaughter's parochial school. Standing room only. Now, I've been there before and it wasn't that full, but the church there does a pretty nice job of mixing things up so all ages feel comfortable. Middle-class church, with a priest old enough to have a little wisdom, but young enough to do a good job working his church field, which is mostly white and blue collar middle class folks. Thought his sermon the other day was pretty good, all things considered. But...Catholics still can't sing.

Yes, the technology was so much more advanced back then. Then they switched to green energy.

A lot of live storytelling is being preserved. My FIL's experiences in the Korean War, along with many, many of his fellow veterans, are preserved in the Library of Congress Veterans' History Project. https://www.loc.gov/vets/

To be fair, the market for underwear is much bigger (heh) for overweight people than really fit people. Then again, the market for mentally confused men with beards isn't very big, although George at least we have you!

Nitrogen works. :eek You dont even know what it happening. I knew a guy who was working in a refinery and went into a vessel filled with nitrogen (he obivously did not know it). He said that one instant he was fine, and the next instant he woke up in the hospital. When he collapsed inside, another guy went after him and collapsed. Fortunately, the third guy was smart enough to stick an air hose in there, otherwise the two guys would be dead.

@Doctor-Phibes I have no direct experience with that particular make and model. It was the cheapest one I saw on Amazon. They all typically will work just fine for most vehicles. They are not 100% comprehensive diagnostics, that typically requires much more expensive units, but they will catch a lot of fault codes including the "gas cap not installed properly" code. It can also erase any codes it is capable of reading, which turns off the Check Engine light. If the condition persists after an "Erase Codes" it will just trip the same code again. But at least you have an idea of what's going on with your car.
