Sounds about right. Had the kid been black, this would have been a massive story.

Wow, Mark. A girl from my high school was on it. But much of upstate NY could say that - there was a big Syracuse University contingent on the flight.

@George-K said in Hay Cats! You're "It's a miracle!" post of the day.: "Please be advised that this page’s videos are intended for entertainment purposes only. The videos on this page include scripted dramas, satires, parodies, magic tricks, pre-recorded videos, and other forms of entertainment. Names, characters and incidents are often the product of the director’s imagination, so any resemblance to actual persons or actual events is purely coincidental." Pretty clearly a parody when you notice the judge was female.

The guy on the scooter hasn't done too badly, either. Although swapping it for the dog was a mistake, IMHO

They were all so catchy and fun. My kids, who never saw any of the clips on Saturday mornings, did the theater production when they were young and learned so much. There were songs on there that I didn't know: "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" "Interplanet Janet" "Elbow Room" Fun show. Fun production.

@Jolly said in Place your bids!: I think George meant you might would want Hobart #2. Take the pickup and fetch it from Beverly Hills San Francisco... That's even bigger than the one I have! It would never fit in my kitchen, but my 30 size Hobie fits just fine. Those usually sell very well. I think it will go for several thousand dollars, and the attachments are also pricey. People don't usually realize the attachments can add up to cost as much or more that the machine. One that size may not run on regular household current. It might be a 3-phase beast.

Well it was on Amazon, then HBO Max. I guess Disney are probably paying more. It's not like they're making it or anything. Since we dumped cable we don't get BBC America any more, so this is good news. Hopefully Russell T. Davis will do as good as good a job this time as he did in his original stint. Presumably Daily Mail Readers lots of people who don't watch Doctor Who will now be complaining about the fact that he's black. On the positive side - still not ginger!

I'm going to Five Guys. I’m going myself. Karla’s in Cincinnati, Luke’s back from school, so it’s the 3 Prentice Boys for the weekend…So 3 cheeseburgers, a large cajun fries, and a small regular fries are on the menu. I’m trying to decide whether I’m going to have a beer with Luke after Finley’s asleep… That sounds awesome. There's a Five Guys the next town over from us and I've never been in, so I figure why not, let's check it out. The bacon cheeseburger used to be my standard go-to, but now, with the absence of a gallbladder, I don't feel like taking the hadouken hit to the sternum that would inevitably invoke. So, probably just going to keep it at a cheeseburger. Toppings? I normally load a burger up (l,t,o,p,m) but Five Guys works really well with just mustard and onions… For me, lettuce, tomato, onions, mustard is pretty much the move. Oh and vinegar on the fries. For the regular fries? Definitely. It gets a bit much with the Cajun. Agreed. And the cajun fries are great, but I usually don't get 'em precisely because I'm a bigger fan of the vinegar.
