Happy MLK Day!

You mean, "day of service."
"MLK day" is noninclusive.

I spent yesterday at Costco in DC filling in for my African American Salesperson so he could play at several events honoring Martin Luther King.
I was demonstrating a Clavinova to an African American Family when a young African American Tween and his mother approached. The tween reached inside of the 5’ Yamaha grand piano, grabbed a damper and proceeded to attempt to pull it out. I told the young man that he wasn’t allowed to touch inside the piano. The mother then took the young man to the assistant manager and complained about the racist not allowing African Americans to touch and try the pianos.
The assistant manager then proceeded to inform me that I must check my privilege while in the warehouse. I don’t believe I will take another roadshow to that particular warehouse.

You should have gone back to the piano and started playing 'Ebony and Ivory'.
Of course, you'd have had to clean up all the vomit afterwards.
