Was on that bridge last night on the way home from the airport. The problem is they are not replacing it, just adding a bridge beside it that will supposedly handle the through traffic. The original obsolete bridge will remain for local traffic, but there won't be any way to enforce that. I'm glad they are finally doing something about it, but it's still a bandaid. The aging bridge will still have to go at some point. Another thought - I doubt people will appreciate the extra orange barrel and traffic jams enough to translate to votes.

I've always wanted to be able to give this or similar to entering freshmen (leaving out my sarcasm of course), and then again at the end of the degree program, just to see how much intellectual growth has taken place after 4 years and a boatload of money. It would be fun!
