@Jolly said in The end of outsourced coders?: One thing I'm a little bit optimistic about....As older people die off -those with relationships formed the old way - more media savvy generations will become less and less enchanted with social media for creating relationships, especially those of the most personal nature. Wife or husband hunting on-line (not the hook-up stuff), I predict will fade a bit...OTOH, that presupposes that monogamy still exists. I think that's already started to happen. From relationship counselors to influencers and advice columnists, there are now two kinds: urban faux-feminist hot messes, and more traditional people who, despite their problems, have their shit together. It's freaking obvious who's who and I've noticed that the latter is picking up more interest. They're being cited in the weirdest places, which wasn't so even 5 years ago. We haven't done a 180 or anything, but straight-edge living doesn't get the eyerolls it used to, either.

I remember the live demonstration where Musk swung a hammer at the unbreakable window, and broke it.

Wow, indeed, one of the coolest websites I've ever seen. I randomly clicked around and got to the moon landing part, then I could shift over to the FIDO channel exclusively. So cool.

Swell. Of course we are still left with the possibility his analysis was flawed.

Interesting but not surprising. Most developed countries are dealing with this same sort of thing. If done properly, increased LEGAL immigration is the way to stop/slow this down.

Why is there no listing of the actual products and their respective results? Might be helpful to find reputable supplement vendors.

Editorial cartoons aren't dying out. Cartoon syndications and newspapers are.

We've always run combined from day one. But we were both well established in our careers when we met, so money has never been a huge issue.

@Horace said in Ghost rooms? How about skiplagging: TG posted this a while ago. Then LD posted Ghost Rooms, because skiplagging reminded him of it. Now you're posting about skiplagging, because ghost rooms remind you of it. It all reminds me of this time when I skiplagged to disneyworld and scored an all day pass by renting a room I didn't even want. I used the pass to go through the haunted house which was, you guessed it, filled with ghosts. Which reminded me of that time I skiplagged to Disney and rented a "ghost room". I'll tell that story another day. LOL. Did you experience seat kidnapping on your flight? Wait until I tell you about what that is!

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2023/06/23/clinton-sock-case-not-relevant-to-trumps-classified-docs-case-experts-say/70325388007/ Jackson dismissed the case, noting the agency didn't have the ability to designate materials as "presidential records," didn't have the tapes in question and lacked any mechanism to obtain them. She also wrote that the tapes were personal records created by Clinton under the Presidential Records Act and that the act did not assign the archivist any role with personal records once a presidency concluded. The act distinguishes between personal records, which don’t have an effect on the “constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties of the president," and presidential records, which do relate to the duties of a president and other government business, according to NARA, the national archives agency. David Super, a constitutional law expert at Georgetown University, said there are stark differences between the Clinton case and Trump's situation. “The documents there − tapes of a conversation Mr. Clinton had with a historian − did not arise from Clinton's performing any constitutional, statutory or other responsibilities as president and were not created by any other federal officials, even in part," Super said. "This is a sharp contrast to the documents Mr. Trump is accused of withholding." The Clinton case also had nothing to do with information that could be potentially harmful to national security, which meant the Espionage Act wasn't invoked. It also did not involve lying to federal agencies, disobeying subpoenas or asking other people to lie to or mislead law enforcement, Super said. Trump is accused of all those things.
