On the way to the airport, I always ask my wife if she turned off the stove. She doesn't like it.

Well they could that’s actually how DAs try to operate. But in this case there’s one man who needs to sit an Atlanta prison. Any deals that get him there are fine with me.

@LuFins-Dad said in Convicted of tweeting....: Disenfranchised does not mean to remove the right to vote, it means to strip the power from a group of people. The falsehoods spread by the NYT and WP, very likely removed the power of millions of voters. If the Biden laptop/corruption story had impact .4% of PA voters and .2% of GA, AZ, and WI voters, Trump would be President right now. Do you think that story and the Russian hoax impacted at least that small number of voters? I do. I think that's a lead-pipe cinch. IIRC, somewhere around 15% of Biden voters may have not voted for him if they had known the Hunter laptop story was true.

I wonder if his decision to get a bit more aggressive was based on the fact that he was watching his doorbell/porch camera. "Police!" "Uh, no. Police don't wear balaclavas. Stand back."

It's not evasion. It's incredulence. You hate so hard, you can't be fair. Tell me, why do you hate Trump supporters so much? What have they done to you or your family?

@jon-nyc said in Ashes to Ashes.............. Maybe: How much can it really cost to burn a corpse? Compared to all the hazards of letting them rot in your building. I don't get it .45 Carbons…

Many decades ago, I was attending a Vladamir Horowitz concert. Of course, it was a sell-out with stage seating. Entering the building a young woman threw up on an impeccably dressed man. She apologized. He was speechless. I had a stage seat. Guess who was sitting next to me? During the first piece, she took her purse, dropped its entire contents onto her lap and then threw up into her purse. As Horowitz left the stage, he was surprised to see the young woman exiting with him. Fortunately, she did not return.

Nearly two dozen Americans fleeing Israel with the help of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration were stranded for days in Cyprus before they finally got to Florida on Wednesday, according to the head of an international rescue organization who blamed contractors that state officials hired to run the operation. Their rush to help DeSantis score political points for his presidential campaign caused the confusion, said Bryan Stern, CEO of Project Dynamo, which partnered with Florida on the missions. https://www.tampabay.com/news/florida-politics/2023/10/20/desantis-israel-rescue-operation-left-americans-stranded-cyprus/

Saw that earlier. Captagon is converted to amphetamine once ingested.., Fenethylline is metabolized by the body to form two drugs, amphetamine (24.5% of oral dose) and theophylline (13.7% of oral dose), both of which are active stimulants. The physiological effects of fenethylline therefore seem to result from a combination of these two compounds,[9][10][11] although how is not entirely clear, and seems to involve a synergistic effect between amphetamine and theophylline produced following metabolism. Military use of stimulant drugs is nothing new, and this should not be surprising. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_psychoactive_drugs_used_by_militaries ETA: FIL recounted the use of "pep pills" by the US military during WWII.

It helps if the distribution has a mean by definition, and symmetric unbounded tails. But I suppose this one has a mean too. I am not too sure about your notion that the mean is the 50% cumulative probability point.
