It’s funny but it isn’t meant to be.

I’ve definitely become more aware of people dying since COVID, many of natural causes. Don’t know if it’s getting more widely reported or if I am much more aware. I suspect it’s the former.

Coincident with the declining fertility rate is the declining amount of sleep that our society gets. Theres a definite correlation between sleep and sperm production. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the average amount of sleep was about 9 hours, now we're down to 7 or less.

Again, I don't know if that decrease in sperm counts correlates with the decrease in fertility, but the numbers do coincide.

Counted tomato plants today. I have 36. And the okra I planted (120feet row) last week is up.

Interesting year, though. Spring has been cooler, and has shoved things back 2-3 weeks.

And any place has its own microclimates, where some things grow better than others. This year, those spots are all messed up, at least at my place.

This company trades on the pink sheets and has one (ever) clinical trial registered, not yet recruiting, for knee arthritis.

"Fine-tuned" for what? For today's software developers, that usually means getting the code to run efficiently within the given execution environment, usually along the line of running with the least amount of memory or storage, getting results within the least amount of time, or consuming the least amount of power to complete certain tasks.

Scientists and statisticians are not typically trained to write "fine-tuned code."

Computer code need not be "fine-tuned" to produce correct results.

"Fine-tuned" code can still produce wrong results if the model or data fed into the code are wrong.
