But, but, but....those people are going to use violence, possibly deadly force to keep their homes and businesses safe. My God, they may even go Korean on them!

    ** Quelle horreur!!!**

Why bother to keep trying to heal a bunch of morons who haven't listened to a damned thing in the last 50 years? Just eliminate them and solve the problem.

Are you saying you're going to get proactive about that?

If they show up on my property trying to do damage, yes.

    Gimme a Bechstein 210 please.

Then you either have to cut off 2cm of a 212, or glue 2cm of wood to the 208 "Academy".

Gov Walz today in mobilizing the full national guard, said 20% of the protesters are local and 80% are out of town.

Did they self identify, or was there a sign-in sheet somewhere?
Don't tell me the cops just demanded to see ID. No, in all the video I've seen, there has not been one example of a cop asking for ID, or a cop asking, "hey, where ya'll from, bud?"

Couldn't be that Gov. Walz just made up his facts.

Looks like he inverted the numbers from the arrests. 80% of those arrested were local and 20% from out of town.

Rioters probably buy just as many iPhones as anybody else, I mean if they're not stealing them.

Well, if there is anything I've learned about the riots, it's that good cellphone cameras are required.

Well, I'm projecting Portland in part of the above. Everyone I know in my area, steers clear of downtown Portland, as it has gotten increasingly worse over the past several years.
It's almost guaranteed you will be hassled by the street people, and it's not safe.

I was in Portland, for the first time, in 2015, when I stayed in the Pearl District. I loved the city. It was clean, walkable, and I never felt unsafe. I was there last in 2018 and it was amazing how different it was, and I just walked from Union Station to the car-rental place on Pine, about half a mile. It was a bit creepy.

    Good analysis, @Aqua-Letifer

@Mik yeah I was thinking earlier how this distraction probably helps Trump. And could galvanize his base a bit.

I think reason called it in about 36 hours ago. This is all what-the-fuck-ever until either people get bored after a few days, or the pot gets stirred again.
