a primary in a single district isn't going to be very well polled. I doubt its possible to see a 40pt gap or even a 10pt gap between polled numbers and reality on a national scale.

But I agree with your main point that we should be wary of polls.

Routine antibody tests are IgG/IgM. Considering the nature of our very friendly virus, the antibody test may be negative now.

    Yeah, you're right.

Btw I’ve been to the town of Barolo.
Small little country town in gorgeous piedmont countryside.

The Cherries in Barolo dish that Mic snooted is a specialty in that region, I understand.

    Thoughts on the museum?

It was quite instructive. Well worth the time. I was impressed by its symmetric presentation of the war into an "Atlantic" and a "Pacific" part, the latter of which is typically only glossed over over here. I was also impressed by how it also elaborated on the less glorious aspects of the American participation in WW2. It felt like information, not like propaganda. On the other hand, the museum didn't say much about those parts of WW2 that the US wasn't involved in (such as most of the war between Germany and Russia), but it's not really an objection because most visitors are presumably more interested in the part of WW2 that involved the us. But one conclusion I drew after visiting the museum is that one should visit multiple museums in different countries on the same topic to get something that resembles the truth.

Extending the social bubble to your neighbor.

TG, I agree, that's worse than just smoking.

    Did somebody say ‘lamb’?

    No someone misspelled...

I always get the lamb meatball bowels.

    I get those, too.

    Worth it.

Whenever the left gets around to thinking about it, Indian folk will be resented for their appropriation of the skin color badge while exhibiting none of the cultural and political lockstep that's supposed to go along with it. Actually I think I just read an opinion piece on CNN about that very subject, written by a token Indian person who also happens to be a leftist True Believer.

State level politics. If our hair is on fire about every nutty GOPer in this category this one should rise to a four alarm fire.

Also google Obama Madigan to help Phibes who is keeping track of Presidents and their unsavory friends.

I saw another article saying substantially the same this morning I think. Prolly the same study.

I think Bach was suggesting substantially the same idea?

It's not the missing lessons that worries me so much as the impact on being in the house the whole time with only online contact

Well, probably not for too long a time at this point (I keep drawing comparisons to blackout drills during WWII), and the internet's not nearly the same thing but it does help.

I haven't seen my relatives at all this year and it really sucks. But, we do FaceTime once a week, and that helps.

That's quite pretty. I bet some exotic frog breeder would like to try producing more of those. There are people who collect unique frogs.

I can be happy with ordinary gray tree frogs.

I find it easier to control my diet if I don't have to deal with going into the office. I've lost some weight since working from home.

If you know how important the presumption of agency is, how ridiculous does that make all the permanent victim messaging that destroys that presumption? Is it evil messaging on the part of those smart enough to understand how much damage it does, but who also recognize the social power they can wield with it? Or is it ignorant messaging employed by high status echo chamber dwellers eating their virtuous marshmallow? I think it's short sighted ignorance born mostly of a competitive virtuousness, wanting to look and feel more moral than the next person.
