Fine with me. In DC... you get 4 months of "freezing rain" where the temps hover around 35-40, sometimes could be snow, sometimes ice, sometimes rain. I'd rather have 4 months of cold snow and know what to expect. Plus, autumn lasts longer and the summers have a lower dew point. Yes, please.

    Good for them.

Also, I'm surprised Trump hasn't called Biden "Traitor Joe" amirite?

The big increase is in Acoustic/Digital Hybrids. Yamaha’s Silent Pianos (acoustic pianos that can be switched to a digital piano through headphones) are hot commodities right now as are the Avant Grand (digital piano with the true grand piano action).

At least you admit it. Still, the Monroe Doctrine really has no play in Europe and US policy towards Russia has been dismal for last twenty odd years. Trump and company haven't improved it in the least.

I tend to agree though, American troops should go home.

Gates hatred appears on my radar only inasmuch as it's something for people to make fun of. I find that lots of allegedly important ideas are like that. There is power in convincing people that they are smart because "look what all the dumb people in that other tribe think".

My wife's unfriended a handful of folks over the Gates crap. Aside from the COVID stuff they'd appear to be typical conservatives.

Hang on a minute, when did you get married? Did I completely miss that?

Awhile back, dude! Join the video meetups!

Think of it: she has to put up with me at home throughout all this mess. A tall order!

    You're Catholic, correct?

When can she apply for sainthood?😄

Well, if I drive her over the edge it'll definitely help her application.

In theory. The senate might have to change their rules.
He has to nominate and the senate has to approve. I think it's only Senate rules that would prevent that from happening in rapid succession. And the Senate is GOP controlled.

But I assume a president Biden could "retaliate" by increasing the number of judges until they have a democrat majority?

One of the main reasons I really would hate to see Trump force through a candidate at the last minute is it would give huge energy to the ‘pack the court’ faction in the party. (For the record Biden has consistently opposed it.)

Biden will do what his handlers tell him to do.

(Is there an echo in here?😄)

BTW, I read someplace that for a certain period of time recently, suicides were up so much that they surpassed COVID deaths...

I hope you're not presuming that the baseline happiness index was positive prior to the shutdowns.

Also, part of the economic problem lies in businesses being completely unwilling to adapt to this year's changes. If enough people get sick and the refrigeration trucks start showing up at local hospitals, folks will take it upon themselves to stay home and backward businesses will fail anyway, no government intervention needed. This has already happened in many areas.

Mr. Herman Cain has been tested positive with COVID-19 and has been hospital. I certainly wish Mr. Cain a complete and speedy recovery.

    Update on Mr. Cain’s condition:

“... But he is still in the hospital being treated with oxygen for his lungs. ...”
