That’s more than joust the activists point of view. That’s been the medical consensus for years and was supported by two absurd studies using a ridiculously small cohort and that many many problems, not the least of which was it was a self reporting survey. The findings supported the idea that social transition and (even more importantly) medical transition was necessary to save trans kids lives. This is why Doctors started telling parents “would you prefer a dead daughter or a living son?” and why school districts have felt justified in socially transitioning kids without parental consent or even consultation. It was settled science!

I hope the upcoming lawsuits ruin these asshats, and I hope that we eventually start looking at criminal charges.

On the other hand, I don’t see Trumpff as a threat to democracy or becoming a dictator. In the first instance he can’t seem to keep staff. Dictators need mindless minions of varying degrees of competence. Trump’s staff all seem to resign after brief tenures and none to happy with his crassness and lack of sound judgement. In the second instance, no one with half a brain listens to him or is convinced he truly is the American Moses he thinks he is.

My mom's early 2000s Acura SUV had an old school turbo. You could feel it kick in half way through the rev range. It had that distinct air pressure loss sound with every gear shift "PSSSsss".

My current vehicle has one - there's not way to tell there's a turbo in there. It has a twin scroll that lets gases in at low and high rpm differently.

I haven't paid much attention. Yesterday at the gym I decided to look around, far less than half had facial hair, not counting some two day Sunday stubble.

And it's not just guys in my demographic there, its right off the parkway only a few miles from Yonkers, so there's a mix of ages and ethnicities.
