We have some of this going on in our district. A good friend just resigned from the school board over threats to his business. It is hardly a threat to our democracy, but is a reflection of the divide. We have a very contentious election for the board this year, with the ultra-conservative faction demanding school employees sign ridiculous statements. Not the Taliban, but not very American either. No one is teaching CRT in our district.
