@mik said in The Ritchie Boys: Best thing I’ve ever seen on 60 Minutes. We DVR the show, I look forward to watching this segment.

I've read some musings on saline washes, but I haven't seen a paper.

What a great idea. I wonder if a fake Ronald Reagan could win in 24.

The second photo looks like somebody had a small accident with Photoshop's Liquify tool.

Binged through a lot of it this weekend. Surprisingly not bad. The first few episodes are kind of...strange (with the ghost of Dexter's sister having a conversation with him). The appearance of his son is, to say the least, awkward, but it really drives the narrative in the second half of the series. I'd give it ¾ stars. Not spectacular, but certainly worth a binge.

OK, since you opened the "tip" conversation... I pay a flat fee for delivery through a service like Doordash, GrubHub or whatever. The way I see it, the effort that goes into picking up a meal at, say Chick-fil-A, and delivering it to my home is the same if the meal is $10 or $100. At a restaurant, that's different because the tip goes to the establishment, not the driver who has no stake in the place. If I tip more, it doesn't help the establishment, and if I tip less, it doesn't hurt.

That decision to go on 4th down was dumb. It worked out but it was dumb.

I keep the dials for our gas stove in a bowl beside it for that very reason. You are supposed to have to push the dials in to turn them but that has apparently worn out over 16 years.

@copper said in Actually, I think she's right: Greene also attempted to slander activist Maulana Karenga, who created the seven-day holiday in 1966. Karenga, who was convicted of felonious assault and false imprisonment in 1971, has insisted he was targeted because of his work in Black nationalist politics. According to Newsweek, Karenga currently serves as chair of the Africana Studies Department at California State University, Long Beach. A chair Well, la-di-da Shouldn't that be AfricanX Studies? Transphobic, binary, cisnormatizing h8r....

@jolly said in $5,000,000 and counting: Monies raised for Kentucky disaster relief, by Kentucky bourbon makers. One of the guys heading up the fundraising makes a kinda unique double-barreled (transferred from whiskey barrels to rum barrels for final aging) rye. His company: https://www.angelsenvy.com/ Angels Envy is not worth the name. But I'm glad he's helping with the relief efforts.

Xray came back negative and it's an ankle. probably won't affect his NFL prospects. Or so they say. https://draftwire.usatoday.com/2022/01/02/matt-corral-injury-update-ole-miss-sugar-bowl-lane-kiffin/ Altmeyer sure did a good job considering he's a true freshman - 19 years old. His last big game was in high school.
