It did not seem to bother King Charles III that Zelenskyi wasn’t wearing a blue business suit, white shirt and matching tie when the two met last Sunday. Like bachophile pointed out in his post last week, it doesn’t appear to bother Trump when the Saudi Prince, MbS, and his entourage arrive at the WH in their bath robes. Who’s to criticise Zelenskyi when Trump himself is just an empty suit?

Maybe I’m being dense and over-simplifying, but I would have thought that Ukraine would only give mineral rights if they’re going to get tangible military aid (that they intend to use) in return. I guess what I’m hearing is that the mineral rights make it defacto US territory, and Russia won’t attack the US. I don’t know enough about the situation to comment on that.

I remember when Canada moving to stop protests was described as fascism by some on the (American) right.

I remember the first day of my first Soviet history course in University. The prof, a former officer in the British Army, I touched himself to the class and then said “in this course you will come away with the understanding that the Soviet Union is characterised by a national inferiority complex mindset and a people who sleep with a history book under their pillow”.

And yet...The military says the Pentagon is too small and they want to build a bigger building. Seems to me, the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing, so why do we need more hands?
