I would have thought so. In fact I wasn’t worried about lesser calorie intake so much since o was burning less. But here I am.

I just started back to HIIT on the Airdyne the past week or so. Supposed to build VO2 max faster. I’m getting upwards of 110-120 bpm. Plateaued at 67 lbs on weight loss even thought my waist keeps shrinking. Maybe the weight training.

I didn’t have to work this hard in my 30s. Grr.

Update. Its been almost exactly two months since I stopped that drug. My weight hit 168.2 today, my nadir was 148.1 on February 28th.

So I’ve gained 20lbs in 2 months. Good weight too, not sloppy weight. When I hit 175 or so I’ll probably cut back the carbs a bit but keep myself at 3000 calories or so. Maybe not though since by then I’ll be riding a lot and burning calories.

                Thanks for the update!

@lufins-dad how are you doing on your health journey?

I'm down to 214, from a peak of 232 last July. All I'm doing is trying to eat better each day and avoid snacking at night. When I do that, the scale rewards me in the morning. I hope to be down to 200 in 3 months. Should be "easy" if I can just fight off the drink/snack munchies at night.

Down to 208 from 245. I am essentially at the weight that I want to be at, but I need to drop another 10 or so, then build it back up the right way…

Combo ran/walked a 5K last week while Finley had his running club. Hoping to run a 5K next month.

                        Had an InBody scan today.

Weight: 173.4 (in clothes, after two breakfasts and lots of water)
Skeletal Muscle Mass: 85.1lb (looks like ~105 percentile, eyeballing the bar graph)
Body Fat Mass: 20lbs (looks like ~77th percentile, again eyeballing)
                        Percent Body Fat: 11.5%
                        Visceral Fat Level: 4
                        InBody score: 84

Well you wanted to get back to 175 by May and you did it, nice job!

In bizarro world, I'm also trying to get to 175 in the next 2 years. I don't want to do it too quickly. I peaked at 232* last July, and was just at 212, so I'm on the way. Would like to be under 200 by August, then 185 by next May.

*232 is also the heaviest I ever got after college, in 2005... if you may recall I signed up for a marathon and ate better and over 2 years went down to 175, so this is basically a complete repeat.

I don’t yet count that 173 given the time of day. I’ll wait until i weigh that in the morning.

This morning I was 167.1. So I can still get there by the end of the month.

Impressive - how is your LDL so low? I’m guessing your consumption of saturated fat is super low.

My LDL is much higher - I eat lots of saturated fat. My trigs are really low though (I think they were 40 last time I measured).

Honestly I have no idea. Diet is surely part of it. I would imagine there is a genetic component. I have results going back to 2018 and the numbers have ranged from 34 to 52.
