I met him in Boston in 2007. He's definitely not geigh, even after we made out. Actually IIRC he had a pretty wife too, which was even more suspicious. Clearly she's his beard.

I met him in Boston in 2014. He's straight but has a hard time driving that way. My navigation skills in downtown Beantown were shit. High hilarity ensued.

It's only gay if you actually enjoy it.

So, apparently I've had a bunch of gay girlfriends.

I guess AI and robotics present some vaguely realistic hope of getting out of it.

          Education is extremely important.

It our only hope. Big or small.

It's silly to think that artificial abortions cause population decline. If you want to blame the domestic population's low reproductive rate, blame family planning in general and the domestic population's unwillingness to raise more children. Getting rid of artificial abortions won't move the needle because a parent getting a child earlier than planned will simply change family planning tactics to not have the child that would have come later. It's a zero sum game in that regard.

Immigration is net population addition for the most part as very few domestic persons would change their family planning tactics in response to immigration.

So abortion is primarily after the fact birth control. Thank’s for verifying what is pro-lifers already knew that thd pochoicers have denied or obfuscated.

When my parents started in 1958 they could raise 4 kids on one income. When I started in 1985 we could raise two kids on two salaries.
In 2025 my kids can barely raise one kid on two salaries.
And then politicians want young people to have more kids.
                    Ain't gonna happen.

                        https://www.nytimes.com/2026/02/27/us/politics/us-birthrate-decline-women.html

The birthdate declines most for (1) the less educated women, (2) the financially poorer women, and (3) the teenagers; especially the teenagers, their pregnancy rate dropped BIGLY. That's good , because they are the ones least prepared to be parents. Now women in their 30s and 40s are the ones with the highest birth rates. Pregnancies are higher risks for older women, but they are also the ones more ready to be parents -- financially and psychologically.

I'd like to see what specifically parts of Asia makes up the lions share of that 49% I think we know, but seeing it on a chart drives the point home a little more.

Asia has close to 60% of the world's population. If Asia has only 49% of the world's newborns, Asia is underperforming.

Nigeria will be the 3rd most populated country in about 20 years. Not exactly due to immigration.

Numbers are slightly different from the map, but I think general trend is correct.

@taiwan_girl interesting, I wanted to take that further and do births per capita (really, births per woman.... sorry Hollywood). Some countries, like Korea, are in extra trouble... not even averaging 1 per woman.
