Anybody who has followed him much at all, knew tariffs were coming. He did 20% on China the last time.

As for the extent of the tariffs? No, I don't think most folks saw that one coming.

Go read LuFin's analysis in the Trumpenomics thread...I think he's pretty close to the truth.

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

I've been looking for Andreessen's public comment on this. Haven't seen any yet. He's another prominent billionaire who converted to Trump support in 2024, and who will despise these tariffs.

        Education is extremely important.

Ezra and Vivek discussed this, must have been before the universal tariffs dropped.

          Link to video

Safe to say that Vivek would not be pleased with these tariffs, but if pressed, would indicate that they are a negotiating tactic.

Story about a federal worker who tried to take DOGE's "fork" offer and tried to resign from the federal government three times ...

              https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2025/09/20/trump-administration-resignation-offer-supporter/

Be sure you get to the part about his wife's cremation being delayed ... it's a gut punch.

By any means, I am not a President Trump fan or DOGE fan, but why didnt the guy take FMLA for example? It is not unusual for a company to offer buy outs to some people (or departments) but not others.

Should have been mentioned then. I think it would appropriate to inform that the man had tried and used all available options.
