Story about a federal worker who tried to take DOGE's "fork" offer and tried to resign from the federal government three times ...

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2025/09/20/trump-administration-resignation-offer-supporter/

Be sure you get to the part about his wife's cremation being delayed ... it's a gut punch.

Ax loves to lord over the forum with his gatekeeping of the best journalism that the rest of us can’t afford to read. That is the road to authoritarianism and fascism.

It so happens that WTG (next door) posted a non-paywalled alternate link, so here it is: https://archive.is/mtm4z

You can never know what is truly in another man's heart. And by heart I of course mean bank account.

By any means, I am not a President Trump fan or DOGE fan, but why didnt the guy take FMLA for example? It is not unusual for a company to offer buy outs to some people (or departments) but not others.

...but he's still better than the alternative. Agreed. Tough times call for tough choices.

Maybe he did and it ran out?

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Should have been mentioned then. I think it would appropriate to inform that the man had tried and used all available options.
