The stock market sure was surprised. Anybody who knew the extent of these tariffs could have put their money on a crash, and profited.

As for the extent of the tariffs? No, I don't think most folks saw that one coming.

I've been looking for Andreessen's public comment on this. Haven't seen any yet. He's another prominent billionaire who converted to Trump support in 2024, and who will despise these tariffs.
