    One thing concerns me greatly. Not hearing reports of social unrest in the streets, nothing that resembles an uprising. Seems like we’d be hearing about it if it were occurring.

    I'm unconvinced that being bombed makes people hate their government more than the people dropping the bombs. History would indicate that if anything it seems to make people more patriotic.

    But what do I know? Trump and Hegseth are the experts, after all. And such experts!

    I was only joking

      Despite the bombs and fully functioning domestic political repression apparatus still firmly in place, people continue to manage and feed their families. When the food becomes scarce and children start going hungry, the masses will take to the streets. That is the way virtually of all revolutions.

            17,000 years of so called civilization and we still fight wars over our imaginary sky friends. Jesus.

                Yes and it’s called fanaticism. Stems from adhering to what is errantly believed to be a creed of absolute truth, religious or secular, the choice is yours to pick and, comes in all shapes, sizes and models.

                    @Mik

                    No problem, as I was once corrected by a former poster and self appointed know-it-all here when I raised the issue about stabbing the Kurds in the back, it’s merely realpolitik on the part of Washington.

                      Like Trump, Iran’s new supreme leader is a real estate mogul, with a house on ‘Billionaires’ Row,’ a villa in Dubai, and upscale European hotels

                      But before the conflict, he largely kept a low profile while accumulating assets around the world. A Bloomberg investigation in January found Khamenei has avoided putting investments in his own name, but they totaled more than $138 million.
                      That includes Swiss bank accounts as well as luxury properties. Among his holdings in several of London’s ritziest neighborhoods is a house on “Billionaires’ Row.” Sources told Bloomberg Khamenei’s real estate empire also boasts a villa in the “Beverly Hills of Dubai” and upscale European hotels.
