Maybe Trump was just confused and mistook an estimated savings range of 1% to 5% with a net reduction of 1500%.
That or Trump just rounded up to 1500% for the sake of simplicity.

I wonder how bad the facts culture is within the White House... I expect if anyone tells Trump real data it's like a recurring "Hitler finds out" scene playing over and over.

It surely does suck. I’ve been consoling myself with the fact that the Federal Government is no longer actively enabling the sterilization and genital disfigurement of children… I’ll live with having to cut down on steak in exchange for that.
Sure would have been nice to have both steak and healthy children, though.
