I keep remembering Harry Truman's injunction that any politician who gets rich at the expense of the public is a crook - well, it would then follow that we have a lot of crooks running our country. Trump may not provide an immediate solution, but he's a disruptor who might pave the road to something better.

You can frame it that way. Or you could frame it like the woke backlash is the fault of those who catastrophize Trump, and so render everything opposite of him more virtuous. Words are tricky. Mostly I'm glad that now we can not only define wokeness, but we can also measure it.
