You mean the ability to attach images (not links) to a post? Yes. You can even copy&paste images into a post.
This is what I'm talking about. Rather than posting an emoji, you have the option for Tapatalk to search a GIF.
That's nice. I can copy a screenshot or image from a different web page right into the post here.
