The ability to embed a gif from your post without having to seek out gifs at other sites.
Is that capability available here?

You mean the ability to attach images (not links) to a post? Yes. You can even copy&paste images into a post.

OK, I installed the plugin. But it has no effect yet. I assume it needs a forum rebuild, which means 3min outage.
