I don't really care for the "social" aspect of Zwift. I don't want to race. I want to do structured training.
Remind me again, Klaus, what nationality are you?

Yes, I'm using Zwift right now. I'm not sure whether it's the best program for what I have in mind. I don't really care for the "social" aspect of Zwift. I don't want to race. I want to do structured training.

How do you like Zwift? The reason I am ask is that the CEO mentioned that they may come out with something for rowing. I have a rower (Concept 2) and might be interested if the Zwift is good. Do you buy it once or pay each month?

You have to pay every month. It’s expensive.

Finally got off my fat ass and took a ride.
It has been a few years since I did this. I was feeling good the entire time. It was hot so i consumed more than 1/2 of a 16 oz water bottle on the ride.
I am going to do this humble route every day, for a week. Then bump it up to 10 miles maybe 15 depending on how a feel for q week. I will be back doing 20-30 miles a day in a month or less.
Back in the saddle baby!

Hey @mark , how's the cycling plan proceeding?

It hasn't. I have been super busy with our new contract.

3.5 miles today, then got dumped on so I stopped. I'm up to 6 daily, though, and am breaking through to a 10' average mile time.

I'm at 10' miles now for 5-6 miles, as of the past 3 or so days. I'm not burning up the track but whatever.

And holy CRAP was it that today. Not only with the heat and humidity, I mean it literally: the football field I use as an emergency cut-through sometimes was flooded. My shoes were fully soaked when I got back. Flies, gnats, mosquitos everyplace.
It's been so rare that I've had even decent running conditions that I don't even care anymore. I just expect it to be disgusting.

Yeah it has been the worst summer in memory for dew point. Consistently over 70 and that is every bit as bad as high temperature. You are not imagining things. Next week looks awesome, don’t miss it.

For those interested in how many steps per day they accrue, here is a conversion chart that converts various activities into equivalent numbers of steps.
For instance, chopping wood for 15 minutes is the same as walking 1995 steps.

Did some lifting in a hotel gym and ended up with a severe acute lumbago. This morning I needed help to even get out of the bed. Damn.

I have learned how to avoid back pain and it’s a super rare event for me anymore. Is the term lumbago common. In certain countries?
