Trump vs. DeSantis

It’s pretty universal here too. I absolutely will not vote for him in the primaries. I’d have to see who the Dems offer up in the general.

I would freaking love seeing Trump getting beaten in the Primaries. And I have this vague feeling that I’m not alone.

You're not.

No, it’s just another one of his narcissistic brain farts. This time though, he shat himself.
He will wear it.

For most people, that would not be an enjoyable experience. For Trump, I’m not so sure.

OK, that mental image just displaced the one I mentioned earlier.

DeSantis supporters were chanting “Two More Years!” at his rally tonight.

Had no idea DeSantis is only 44, btw.
Last night was big for DeSantis. 2024 should be his to lose unless Trump runs and makes the primary swampy.

The answer could not be more clear for Reps. Do it the DeSantis way. Dems are trying to paint him as a Trump clone - he’s not.

You may be overestimating the Reps’ clarity of perception. What’s clear to you may not be clear to the Reps. You’d figure things would be “clear” to most people after a string of 59 failed attempts to convince the courts of voting fraud in the 2020 election, but not the Reps!

I think what some of them lack is not so much clarity, as intestinal fortitude. They really need to stand up to Trump, and forget about angering his base

Sean Spicer started laying the ground cover for Trump… The candidates that failed did so on their own. He pointed to an extreme difference in how much fundraising they did and how much of their own war chest they spent vs. relying on SuperPacs… According to him, successful campaigns like Johnson in WI and Budd in NC did a lot of fundraising and didn’t ask for or get much support from SuperPacs. Campaigns like Oz in PA and Masters in AZ did not put anywhere near the amount of work that was expected and even relied on SuperPacs to coordinate their ground game…
Don’t know if it’s true or not, but it sounds plausible. It also sounds like an attempt to give his old boss a path forward…

Super PACS need to go away. All the worst ads come from them.

Sean Spicer is hinting that Trump pathetically picked a bunch of weak, lazy losers who cannot pull their own weights.

Now I don't put much stock in Salon, but this is interesting.
