He was thinking so much about January 6th the whole ride, that sort of outrage is draining. He couldn’t even crawl that last .1 miles, after the psychological toll taken by Donald Trump and his insurrectiony minions.

        Education is extremely important.

You struck a moment, Blondie. As you were typing this, I was mulling taking up painting. My thought: I can't paint. I could never do that.

Plus, all those painty smells. Bleh. I didn't invest $43 in essential oils and a diffuser to make the house smell good just to funk it up with painty smells.

BUT if I really really wanted to, I'd try at least. Are you sure you couldn't do that ride? If you want to, I mean.

Now returning the thread to Jon's great achievement.

After day one my neck was killing me, and I thought it might be my downfall day 2. But day two towards the end my legs were about spent and I wasn't noticing my neck, it didn't help that half the elevation gain was in the last 10 miles.

Oh - Day 1 started at 49F with an 18mph headwind, gusts of up to 30.
