You struck a moment, Blondie. As you were typing this, I was mulling taking up painting. My thought: I can't paint. I could never do that.

Plus, all those painty smells. Bleh. I didn't invest $43 in essential oils and a diffuser to make the house smell good just to funk it up with painty smells.

BUT if I really really wanted to, I'd try at least. Are you sure you couldn't do that ride? If you want to, I mean.

Now returning the thread to Jon's great achievement.

Well, if we're going by size, he ought to be darn near painless. 😏

After day one my neck was killing me, and I thought it might be my downfall day 2. But day two towards the end my legs were about spent and I wasn't noticing my neck, it didn't help that half the elevation gain was in the last 10 miles.

Oh - Day 1 started at 49F with an 18mph headwind, gusts of up to 30.

@89th Seriously - I rode the 1/10th of a mile from the finish line to the parking lot to make it a full 100.

That is awesome Jon!! A headwind like that can be brutally draining. You guys look like you had it with no problem! I think they like to put those uphills on the tailends on purpose lol. The Elephant Rock ride in Colorado always had a brutal hill right in the last mile.

Pretty sure it’s different. This is actually organized by the American Lung Association but they let us enter as a team and fundraise independently. It’s been going on for 26 years. Before covid it was Plymouth to P-town over three days. Now it’s a two day ride with the same start and finish.
