Been on the road to FL and I just read through this.
Larry, I am so sorry you're going through this. I wish for nothing but the best treatment and a cure for you.
In the meantime I hope they can provide treatment that will alleviate your suffering with the breathing problems. I have been short of breath before, and it is scary.
Know that you are my thoughts.

All I have to give you is my solidarity and prayers. You'll get them both -- the Catholic ones.
Pray to St Charbel Makhlouf. You don't need to know who he is, or even how to say his name. He knows who you are, and he's a friend of Jesus.
Peace to you.

My thoughts and prayers for your fighting this, Larry.
My sister was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer, she fought hard and now lives cancer-free in Palm Springs, it's been about 20 years now.
You have a lot of friends, virtual and otherwise, we are all here pulling for you! Best to you and your family as you take this on together. -
I remember how inspirational that story was for me when my mother was diagnosed.

If I understand correctly, that should at least not exclude you from getting proper treatment for the cancer.
At the beginning of the pandemic, patients with lung cancer were deprioritized for the ICU admission or mechanical ventilation [...]. To date, based on the acquired knowledge on the impact of COVID-19 in patients with cancer, this approach appears out of order, confirming that patients with lung cancer should not be excluded from ICU beds and should be prioritized to receive a prompt and comprehensive care

@Larry , you have mentioned in your posts that you have survived cancer once before, not sure if it's the same type of cancer this time. Best wishes that you will beat this one again. Sorry also to hear about COVID, hopefully it's one of those milder strains that won't make much damage. Take care, and best of luck.
