Be thinking of you, Larry. Whenever you need a break from things, remember that there's plenty of dumb bullshit here to focus on for awhile. ๐Ÿ˜„

(Serious about that, though. Sometimes stuff like that can help.)

    Please love yourself.

I'd be scared, too. Never had cancer, but I have had the fun of getting my chest cracked and a CABG procedure that included some titanium plates that set off every damn metal detector in the airport. ๐Ÿ˜„ And I think what you would be scared of, is the same thing I was scared of...It's not so much what Death is or what may be on the other side, but it's all the commitments and things you want or need to do for those family and friends you love.

Well, now is not the time to focus on what you can't do, it's time to focus on what you can do. DO seek the best medical care you can and work with them on your treatment plan. DO keep a positive attitude and enjoy all the wonderful things of everyday life, each and every day. Each day is a gift, that's why it's called the present. (Gee, that was sappy and stolen off of a meme ๐Ÿ˜). And just be Larry. Your cancer is a disease, it's not you. You be you.

Best wishes and lots of prayers. Hope you feel better soon.

Hang in there Larry, few are tougher than you! Every cancer is different. My father in law woke up in Feb 2011 with stage 4 kidney cancer, somehow beat it. It takes some luck, and some stubbornness. Hereโ€™s to you having both, friend.

Been on the road to FL and I just read through this.

Larry, I am so sorry you're going through this. I wish for nothing but the best treatment and a cure for you.

In the meantime I hope they can provide treatment that will alleviate your suffering with the breathing problems. I have been short of breath before, and it is scary.

Know that you are my thoughts.

All I have to give you is my solidarity and prayers. You'll get them both -- the Catholic ones.

Pray to St Charbel Makhlouf. You don't need to know who he is, or even how to say his name. He knows who you are, and he's a friend of Jesus.

                  Peace to you.

My thoughts and prayers for your fighting this, Larry.
My sister was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer, she fought hard and now lives cancer-free in Palm Springs, it's been about 20 years now.
You have a lot of friends, virtual and otherwise, we are all here pulling for you! Best to you and your family as you take this on together.

If I understand correctly, that should at least not exclude you from getting proper treatment for the cancer.

At the beginning of the pandemic, patients with lung cancer were deprioritized for the ICU admission or mechanical ventilation [...]. To date, based on the acquired knowledge on the impact of COVID-19 in patients with cancer, this approach appears out of order, confirming that patients with lung cancer should not be excluded from ICU beds and should be prioritized to receive a prompt and comprehensive care

@Larry , you have mentioned in your posts that you have survived cancer once before, not sure if it's the same type of cancer this time. Best wishes that you will beat this one again. Sorry also to hear about COVID, hopefully it's one of those milder strains that won't make much damage. Take care, and best of luck.
