    From: Elon Musk
    To: Team [at Twitter]

Date: Nov. 16, 2022 [time stamp removed]

Going forward, to build a breakthrough Twitter 2.0 and succeed in an increasingly competitive world, we will need to be extremely hardcore. This will mean working long hours at high intensity. Only exceptional performance will constitute a passing grade.

Twitter will also be much more engineering-driven. Design and product management will still be very important and report to me, but those writing great code will constitute the majority of our team and have the greatest sway.

At its heart, Twitter is a software and servers company, so l think this makes sense.

If you are sure that you want to be part of the new Twitter, please click yes on the link below:

Anyone who has not done so by 5pm ET tomorrow (Thursday) will receive three months of severance.

Whatever decision you make, thank you for your efforts to make Twitter successful.

Sorry for formatting. Above is an email from Elon to all of Twitter this morning. I LOL'd at his style. I dig it, mainly because I don't work there, but he is a catalyst for change, like it or not!

He's good at demanding more, but not so keen on providing more compensation. It'll appeal to some. It would have appealed to me when I was younger.

        Education is extremely important.

Yes, I would have loved that when I was younger.

The key is that Mr. Musk must follow through and compensate those who earn it.

There is nothing to follow through. Musk has not promise any compensation to be earned.

At no point in my career would I have reacted to that in a positive way.

Massively rich d-bag asks me to give up my private life so he can make even more obscene amounts money in the hope of a yet-to-be-specified reward of some sort?

How does 'fuck off, Elon' grab you?

              I was only joking

Elon's management approach looks rather heavy-handed.

He is pissing off even those employees who support his general course of action.

                  Compensation takes many forms

And whether he promises it doesn't matter.

                  He must deliver it.

OK, if you were the owner of a business whose employees said this type of stuff about you, why would you even think about keeping them on?

Their thoughts may or may not be justified, and they may or may not be right.

But, if it were my business, I'd think long and hard whether their worth to the business justifies keeping them on after this kind of stuff.

However, more to my point, there have been tons of Twitter employees shit-talking about Elon.
