Elon Musk buys a big chunk of Twitter

In my experience there are often executives in charge of a big program and they are the ones that often have to wrestle it to the ground and are heavily involved and have the political power to remove obstacles.
Then there are “project management office” types that run around with gant charts and spreadsheets and ask people when their milestone will be met.
There are a lot more of the latter than the former.
A colleague of mine used to call them project management bunnies. That was politically incorrect even then.

He's good at demanding more, but not so keen on providing more compensation. It'll appeal to some. It would have appealed to me when I was younger.

There is nothing to follow through. Musk has not promise any compensation to be earned.

Elon's management approach looks rather heavy-handed.
He is pissing off even those employees who support his general course of action.

OK, if you were the owner of a business whose employees said this type of stuff about you, why would you even think about keeping them on?
Their thoughts may or may not be justified, and they may or may not be right.
But, if it were my business, I'd think long and hard whether their worth to the business justifies keeping them on after this kind of stuff.

You know, I always said Twitter is a fad. Maybe I accidentally was correct? Sounds like 88-90% of Twitter employees have quit. Buildings closed. Let’s hope no IT systems need to be restarted in the meantime.
